Podcast: Global Sires
Wide range of breeds
In addition to our wide selection of Holsteins from Holland and the US, and Jerseys from the US and Denmark, we offer dual purpose MRI from Holland and Fleckvieh from Germany and the Czech Republic. New this year is a local Dutch breed called Lakenvelder, a Dutch Crossbred (Holstein x MRI x Brown Swiss) bull and a breed leading Aussie Red. We will again be offering world leading Belgian Blue product from The Belgian Blue Group.
Selected for NZ farming conditions
CRV delivers genetics and smart solutions to help dairy farmers build healthy and efficient herds that are profitable, fertile and friendly on the New Zealand environment and those around the world.
CRV has a unique position within the New Zealand Artificial Breeding (AB) marketplace. Not only do we have an extensive portfolio of high-ranking domestic bulls, but we also offer a wide selection of global sires (from many different breeds) whose daughters have the attributes required to perform within the scope of most feeding regimes in New Zealand.
The perfect balance
Our CRV Health and Efficiency traits are designed to enhance the key traits that allow you to breed health and efficient cows.
The balance between health and efficiency is what makes CRV’s breeding programme so unique. A healthy, trouble-free herd that efficiently converts feed into milk, guarantees high lifetime production. Achieving this balance is the key to sustainable milk production and creating a better life for cows and farmers. The CRV Health and Efficiency indexes put that key in your hands, as they contain unique CRV traits such as Feed Efficiency, Hoof Health and Udder Health.
