With changes to MPI requirements coming into effect from 1 July 2026, CRV has updated the way health events are recorded in myHERD – making detailed, compliant reporting easier to achieve without adding to the workload.
A smarter way to record health events in myHERD

Keeping accurate health records is a critical part of managing a dairy herd in New Zealand.
What's changed
myHERD now supports multiple doses per treatment, and the process of entering and managing treatments is faster and more straightforward than before. The update also aligns with MPI's drug list and recording standards, so records are consistent with what the industry expects.
CRV myHERD Manager David Wheadon says the update is an important step forward for farmers.
"This is a great addition to get over the line as it looks after farmers for the future and addresses MPI requirements."
About myHERD
myHERD is CRV's herd management platform, giving farmers a practical way to record and track what's happening across their herd, from health events through to breeding and production data, all in one place.
